JOB & CAREER SUMMARY

• Responsible for trimming the cannabis plant(s) with efficiency while maintaining the quality/integrity of the plant in order to maximize the harvest for retail/wholesale sales.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Trim Room:

• Must confirm that there is a written plant weight on each tag.
• Mark trimmer column with designated trimmer number.
• Hand trimming flower in preparation for lab testing, packaging, and curing using shears, scissors, hands, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining quality products while reaching daily quotas.
• Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse while performing trimmings to avoid contaminating products.
• Take instructions and follow directions as delegated by managers to complete the weekly team quota.
• Ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the department as needed and/or requested by their direct supervisor; this may include but is not limited to, helping with small tasks, cleaning and/or moving supplies and equipment, and/or helping the packaging department or working at other locations as needed.
• Able to produce min of 2 lbs. per day (113.4 grams per hour).

Performs other related duties as assigned such as but not limited to:

• Packaging Room: Assist with packaging when needed
• Pre-Roll Room: Assist with making pre-rolls when needed

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

• Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, while using scissors.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  Must be able to work in a warehouse environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Trim staff must have a basic understanding of the cannabis laws, rules, and regulations set forth by the state.
• Experience
  • 1-year experience in trimming.
  • Some knowledge of marijuana plant anatomy and strains.
  • Some knowledge and background in trimming preferred.
  • Experience in a complex, fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
  • Familiarity with warehouse procedures

CHEMICALS/AGENTS USED

• Trimmers can be exposed to mold, sensitizers/allergens, Co2, isopropyl alcohol & simple green.

UNIFORM/PROTECTIVE GEAR

• Scrubs
• Shoe covers & gloves are regularly required.
• We have strict COVID safety protocols where masks are required inside all work facilities
• May at times be required to use safety glasses or other safety equipment to prevent injury.
