JOB TITLE:

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitoring expenses and verifying balances and accounts payable.
  • Preparing tax filings in accordance with state and industry regulations.
  • Offering guidance on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status.
  • Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.
  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  • Conducting informal audits periodically and formal financial audits on an annual basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years as an Accountant or related position.
  • Experience with accounting software and data entry.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, or related programs
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
