JOB TITLE:

  • Art Director

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the conception, design, and execution of innovative and strategic marketing materials under the supervision of the Creative Director.
  • Creating the visuals and setting the visual direction for product packaging, advertising campaigns, marketing materials, video/photo shoots, digital deliverables, and more.
  • Develop creative strategies and concept big ideas.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical projects and contribute innovative ideas, tactics, and art direction appropriate to each brand in the portfolio.
  • Support the creative management and mentoring of freelance designers and external agencies.
  • Collaborate in the creation and presentation of creative strategies to the brand team and leadership.
  • Concept and pitch creative strategies and ideas for campaigns and social digital activations.
  • Art direct and lead content photo and video shoots.
  • Perform additional creative tasks as needed.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of Art Direction experience (in-house or agency).
  • College degree in a related field of study.
  • Excellent understanding of Adobe Creative Suite primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign.
  • Must know Google Suite + Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders.
  • High achievement motivation – results-oriented.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, and the ability to apply consistent attention to the needs of the business.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Must be well-versed in the event landscape, pop culture, and current events that are relevant to the client demographic.
  • Genuine interest and passion for the cannabis industry are required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
