DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for driving awareness, acquisition, and retention.
  • Delivers the launch of multifunctional and tactical brand marketing strategies for the promotion of the brand/business within the cannabis market.
  • Utilize commercial and consumer data to develop a comprehensive understanding of the market, category, and segment dynamics.
  • Understand portfolio strategy and brand profitability as the basis for rational resource allocation decisions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape in each state, becoming the go-to source for competitor insight.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to build and deploy a robust trade email calendar and content plan (national / state / local).
  • Assist the VP of Marketing in the development and refinement of the brand’s messages and creative designs to attract potential consumers.
  • Plays a mentorship role to key brand marketing personnel, assisting in the execution of their duties upon request.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Marketing, Communications, or related study preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in marketing, advertising, promotions, or related consumer‐focused field.
  • Cannabis industry experience.
  • Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and communicate. recommendations to VP/Executives.
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns.
  • Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix.
  • Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage numerous projects at one time.
