JOB TITLE:

  • Business Development Assistant

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides support to the Executive & Expansion team in their efforts of managing and overseeing the planning and logistical development process of new markets.
  • Responsible for continuing vendor relationships, and overseeing the completion of new and existing projects.
  • Collect information about successes/challenges/opportunities of new state launches and current projects, and share appropriate information to refine and improve processes.
  • Drives and scales result in all deliverables (production quotas, labor standards, profitability, budget management, and people metrics).
  • Process permit-related documents, General Contractor related paperwork (payments, change orders), City/County related paperwork & Compliance/Licensing related paperwork.
  • Work with the Expansion & Executive team to communicate between departments for specific requests.
  • Create an additional bridge of communication to streamline data gathering & processing.
  • Travel to new and existing facilities in order to verify existing conditions, meet contractors, receive equipment, boots on ground requests, receive time-sensitive equipment, submit in-person permits, etc.
  • Work with Finance to identify new states that meet forecasted operational financial checkpoints.
  • Perform advanced visual quality inspections on products.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-5+ years of experience in New Market Operations / Development.
  • General understanding of construction development process.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, data analysis, and other inventory management systems.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Problem solver that thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent in conflict resolution, communication, learning, and teaching an array of subjects.
  • Possess advanced mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain necessary documentation to work in cannabis in multiple states.
  • Must be able to travel and relocate on an as-needed basis to additional locations and facilities.
