JOB TITLE:

  • Construction Project Manager

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of multiple construction projects from conception to completion while monitoring compliance with safety and contract requirements.
  • Coordinate all aspects of contractors, subcontractors, and the construction team to meet and or exceed contract requirements.
  • Manage and supervise all aspects of the preconstruction process from design development to entitlements and bid solicitation(s).
  • Manage risk evaluation/mitigation, contract negotiations, fee, and pricing decisions.
  • Prepares complete estimates for projects, develops proposals and cost spreadsheets with a detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, and takeoff information.
  • Oversees Project Engineer for submittal and RFI logs. Ensures expedited shop drawings and product data are reviewed and approved prior to releasing material. Submittals are reviewed, approved, and distributed to all relevant trades.
  • Drive enforcement of safety standards and protocols.
  • Work with Finance to manage cost accounting, pay applications, and financial closeout of projects.
  • Follow up on construction with general contractors to ensure accuracy and completion of projects on time.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture
  • 5+ years of management experience in field-based project management for a company with a multi-site presence.
  • Experience working on stand-alone construction builds.
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.
  • Experience in the cannabis or hemp-derived product companies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills know how to work well with diverse and dynamic teams across multiple functions, e.g., operations, sales, legal, marketing, and technology.
  • Strong negotiation skills, striking a balance between being flexible and driving for results with aggressive timelines.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; can handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, and squat.
  • Must be able to work in a highly pollinated environment (kief).
  • Must be able to lift, pull and push 50 pounds and stand for the entire 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to work in hot and humid weather conditions.
