JOB TITLE:

  • Credit Analyst

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Systematically analyze the creditworthiness and risks of small to medium size businesses in a highly regulated industry.
  • Process financing requests, including maintaining and updating credit files for all new and existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting departments on all customer credit, billing, and collections actions.
  • Recommend appropriate relationship credit limits based on entity capacity, creditworthiness, proposed transaction structure, forecast volumes, and other deal-specific factors.
  • Responsible for the development and documentation of Credit and OTC business processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls, including cross-functional change management.
  • Proactively identify and recommend process and platform improvements to drive efficiency and excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Support the year-end financial audit and tax preparation process by maintaining accurate records in line with the Company’s document retention policy.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
  • Experience with financial accounting and ERP systems is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and consistent follow-through on assigned tasks.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work proficiently within Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to understand and articulate credit principles related to receivables factoring, lines of credit, and short-term loans.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
