JOB TITLE:

  • Cure Manager

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cure vaults within a medical cannabis facility.
  • Ensures the daily functions of the department are being performed correctly and efficiently to ensure accuracy and quality throughout the process.
  • Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system.
  • Partner with extraction and retail team to identify inventory needs, and manage appropriate inventory levels for extraction and retail teams.
  • Prioritize and manage cure vaults based on harvest dates to ensure the flow of fresh products while minimizing old inventory.
  • Adapt processes to various strains, styles, and types of cannabis, and make quality control decisions and adjustments, as necessary.
  • Possess the ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed or requested by his/her direct supervisor.
  • Manage several full-time employees while creating synergy with members of other departments.
  • Create a proactive environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of cannabis handling including drying, curing, and trimming.
  • Knowledge and understanding of local and state regulations, with an emphasis on continual learning and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Possess the skills and knowledge to identify potential problems with a plant or the product being processed and the willingness to share with management and grow staff.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational capabilities, as well as strong computer skills to accurately input and manage a centralized cannabis tracking system.
  • Superior time management skills driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise).
