JOB TITLE:

  • Director of Expansion

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all projects, including timelines and budgets, related to new market expansion.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for the Executive Team.
  • Lead real estate searches for facilities in new markets working in conjunction with real estate agents, and consultants.
  • Hire and retain design/build teams for the construction of new facilities and manage related design and construction projects.
  • Spearhead cannabis license application projects and manage related consulting engagements (e.g. legal counsel, application writers, etc.)
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for state and local governments during licensing processes.
  • Build and maintain key vendor relationships in new markets (suppliers, distributors, co-packers, etc.)
  • Assist with the recruitment of senior leadership for new markets.
  • Research and prepare strategy recommendations for emerging markets.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting the market expansion of high-growth businesses or a similar, relevant skillset.
  • Experience working with state/local governments to obtain cannabis licenses or similar.
  • Experience project managing design and construction projects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, summarize, and negotiate complex contracts and legal documents.
  • Must be able to travel frequently on an as-needed basis.
  • State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
