JOB TITLE:

  • Dry Room Manager

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all employees and staff within the dry rooms department while creating synergy with members of other departments.
  • Ensure all product is accounted for according to company policy and procedures.
  • Prioritize and manage dry rooms based on harvest dates to ensure the flow of fresh products while minimizing old inventory.
  • Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system.
  • Partner with extraction and retail team to identify inventory needs and manage appropriate inventory levels for extraction and retail teams.
  • Adapt processes to various strains, styles, and types of cannabis while making quality control decisions and adjustments as necessary.
  • Possess the ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience processing cannabis in regulated a facility is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of management experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of cannabis handling including drying and bucking.
  • Knowledge and understanding of local and state regulations with an emphasis on continual learning and sharing of knowledge with the team.
  • Possesses the skills and knowledge to identify potential problems with a plant or the product being processed.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, managing a centralized cannabis tracking system.
  • Strong Inventory control skills.
  • Strong time management skills, driving efficiency and productivity to ensure goals are met consistently and high-quality control.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.
  • Must be able to remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise).
