JOB TITLE:

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the creation of all baked and confectionery products, in addition to the quality, consistency, and potency of all edibles produced.
  • Oversee daily edibles production, create and maintain a workplace environment that ensures safety, performance, and product quality.
  • Handling distillate and other cannabis products with the utmost care and attention to regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies as needed, and maintain all required logs and records.
  • Fully comply with State medical and adult-use marijuana regulations.
  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen.
  • Assist with the development of production plans and maintain inventory par levels as determined by sales demand.
  • Recommend and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Work with the manufacturing manager to track and maintain accurate records of all inventory in the Biotrack software system as well as send products to verified marijuana testing facilities.
  • Ensures food is prepared safely, efficiently, and according to specifications or requests.
  • Ensures kitchen runs in accordance with all applicable health, safety, and hygiene codes and standards.
  • Maintains and inspects kitchen equipment and utensils, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned related to a baker.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant experience or training may be demonstrated via degree or certificate, completion of an apprenticeship, or other experience necessary to become trained as a professional baker.
  • 3 years of culinary experience.
  • Prior industry experience in marijuana edibles is a plus.
  • Experience with inventory for raw, intermediate, and finished goods.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality, and sanitation.
  • Food Handlers License preferred.
  • Serve Safe License, preferred.
  • Firm understanding of the Metric and Imperial systems of measurement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a variety of personalities and under pressure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and preparing and cooking food.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. at times.
  • Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold.
