JOB TITLE:
- Graphic Designer
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates relevant, engaging, and industry-leading graphics and designs for in-store promotions, both print and digital
- Lead the design and creation of graphic assets and maintain brand consistency across multiple platforms and social media channels.
- Maintain working knowledge of trends in branding, visual communication, and emerging technologies and utilize them in the creation of visual assets.
- Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies.
- Collaborate with internal design, e-commerce, public relations, and sales teams to ensure that brand vision remains cohesive.
- Work with copywriters and creative team to produce final design.
- Test graphics across various media.
- Participate in the brainstorming of and creation of concepts for overall branding efforts.
- Maintain extremely high brand design standards.
- Help conceptualize and develop digital communications; user-friendly websites and rich media including but not limited to banners, microsites, landing pages, and email campaigns.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or equivalent blend of education, experience, and talent.
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and more).
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
- Proven graphic designing experience.
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
- Must be fluent in the following design skills: typography, color theory, composition, illustration, and UX/UI principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Understanding of how to prepare files for optimal use both online and in print.
- High-level understanding of branding and brand design.
- Cannabis experience with compliance knowledge.
- Capacity to take direction and embrace constructive criticism.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing or walking for at least 50% of the shift.
- Repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement (while operating computer equipment).
- Occasional bending, stooping.
- Eye-hand coordination (keyboard typing).
- Hearing and talking.
- Extended periods of reading fine print.
