JOB TITLE:

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage harvest, drying, curing, and trimming of a production-scale medical cannabis facility.
  • Maintain compliance and medicated inventory using a state-mandated, centralized tracking system.
  • Assuring all cannabis products are free from contamination risk at all stages; from propagation to harvest.
  • Maintaining a 5S system, Visual Management, and assure high standards of sanitation
  • Directs the team in carrying out procedures and schedules.
  • Organize transports and post-harvest manifests in SAP.
  • Working with the supply chain team to forecast raw materials and supplies needed to ensure grow room climate/environment and harvest supplies are stocked properly.
  • Preparing and managing the team in tracking all activities and work performed in MERTC: including plant tagging and tracking, waste tracking, nutrient and crop inputs, harvest entry, and harvest batch tracking.
  • Knowledge and understanding of local and state regulations, with an emphasis on continual learning and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Collaboratively leading or creating and constantly Improving our standard work procedures towards the highest quality plant output.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of industry experience.
  • Strong understanding and identification of cannabis health issues.
  • Leadership experience, working with a team of individuals, from a variety of backgrounds.
  • College Degree in Horticulture, Biology, Agriculture, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience with cannabis track-and-trace software such as METRC is a plus.
  • Basic aptitude with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions.
