JOB TITLE:

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and continually improve the recruiting process from beginning to end, including but not limited to preparing and posting job postings, reviewing resumes and screening, sourcing passive talent, offer negotiation, etc.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, and other work assessments.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate a smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Performs other duties assigned pertaining to HR.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or Organizational Development.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a Human Resources role.
  • Knowledge of HR federal & state laws and regulations.
  • Must have a solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules, and regulations and a passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and problem-solve effectively.
  • Possesses a high level of critical thinking.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft® Office Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Must be approved by a state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs at times.
