JOB TITLE:

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the execution of personnel policies, procedures, and programs, providing guidance and interpretation to assigned business units.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and ensures legal compliance with state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws; Updates policies as required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Provide leadership and counsel to assigned leaders when delivering HR solutions that enable a high-performance culture.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Enhance company culture by assisting with the rollout of new perks and team-building activities; work closely with the HQ team to plan and coordinate activities and events.
  • Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
  • Serve as a confidential resource to employees and managers to support and escalate employee relations issues in partnership with Employee Relations. Complete thorough investigations of issues and advise business leaders appropriately.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity to all HR-related matters and information.
  • Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or Organizational Development is required.
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP Certification, preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience with working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines.
  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws.
  • Complete understanding of HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong business acumen and proven ability to integrate HR and business strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence and confidently interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Must be approved by a state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate, and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. 
  • The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 10 lb.
