JOB TITLE:

  • Infusions Technician

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in batch-making (emulsions, liquids, powder, hard-boiled, chews & tablets for edibles) using the latest technology.
  • Assist with the day-to-day cannabis-infused product manufacturing in the production cannabis facility.
  • Follow production schedule, ensuring production deadlines and targets are met, and producing cannabis-infused products.
  • Maintain strict inventory records of all cannabis materials, chemicals, and equipment used in the laboratory and infusion prep area.
  • Execute all SOPs and compliance initiatives within the Infusion Department, ensuring full and complete compliance.
  • Maintain safety equipment, chemical material safety data sheets, and records.
  • Complete production orders with consistency and quality while maintaining a reasonable speed.
  • Work directly with the Infusion Lead(s) and Manufacturing Manager to infuse various edible products.
  • Operate, maintain, adjust, and repair infusion equipment such as blenders, sieves, mixers, and ovens.
  • Convert concentrate into specified units with precision.
  • Create quarantine packages after batch completion.
  • Maintain proper PPE and hygiene.
  • Store supplies and equipment, dispose of waste according to guidelines, and keep laboratory, storerooms, and working areas well maintained.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background and experience in food production, laboratory work, or other related fields
  • 1-2 years of experience with cannabis is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of cannabis extraction methods is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of medical marijuana laws and medicinal benefits.
  • Bachelor’s in Chemistry or related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must display effective time-management skills and the ability to multitask.
  • General knowledge of computer operating systems and applications including Excel.
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills and communication skills.
  • Proficient in METRC.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, standing, 80% of the time or more.
  • Must be able to endure and work around heat from kitchen equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects overhead weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds of ingredients and raw materials throughout the facility.
