JOB TITLE:

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor the help desk inbox and respond in a timely manner to incoming requests.
  • Responsible for employee on-boarding and off-boarding which includes configuring equipment, desk setup, and training on basic functions.
  • Support and maintain IP-based phone systems.
  • Provide support for the implementation and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve user problems with computer software and hardware.
  • Add, remove, or update user account informationActively track and report on inventory levels of all equipment.
  • Provides technical support for end-user inquiries in person, using remote tools, or via phone concerning systems operations.
  • Build and enhance the IT risk management program for compliance with regulatory, financial, information security, and data privacy requirements.
  • Create and improve internal workflow processes for submitting, tracking, and resolving IT concerns.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of relevant IT or computer science experience
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Working knowledge of network concepts, including LAN, WAN, and private network protocols.
  • Customer service oriented with a focus on follow through.
  • Ability to learn and support industry-specific or custom software.
  • Ability to determine urgency and prioritize work appropriately.
  • Flexibility to work independently or in a team as needs require.
  • Strong oral and written communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience utilizing a Helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Experience supporting a mobile and remote workforce.
  • A certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is preferred.
  • Previous Helpdesk support experience is required, and remote Helpdesk support experience is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows server and desktop operating systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of end-user equipment configuration and troubleshooting, including desktops, laptops, RF scan guns, iPads, cell phones, and printers.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk; sit for long hours, use hands for typing; talk, and hear. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision for reviewing electronic and hard copy documents. 
  • Moderate lifting of up to 40 lbs. may be expected.
