JOB TITLE:

  • Janitor

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities and other duties as assigned. Including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, changing floor pads, bathrooms, etc.
  • Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures including sinks, urinals, and toilets; wash windows, mirrors, and walls; replenish supplies in restrooms; clear minor drain blockages as necessary.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
  • Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment; remove cobwebs; clean desks and countertops.
  • Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles; pick up papers and other debris.
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
  • Coordination with departments to ensure no disruption to production.
  • Create an appropriate cleaning schedule based on the needs of the facility.
  • Record and update the Sanitation schedule.
  • Suggest improvements and review progress with department leads regularly.
  • Ensure cleaning/sanitation supplies are stocked and available for use when needed.
  • Identify and report building maintenance needs.
  • Assist in maintaining custodial closet; receive, stock, organize, and maintain supplies and equipment as necessary.
  • Maintains an inventory of all cleaning supplies, and submits purchase requests as needed.
  • Light exterior weeding, plant maintenance, and ensuring grounds are kept clean.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of janitorial experience.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs).
  • Willingness to work early morning or late-night shifts.
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow basic instructions and maintain quality standards and production goals.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Must be at least 21+ years old per state regulations and pass a criminal background check.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
