JOB TITLE:

  • Kitchen Manager

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for navigating day-to-day operations producing products infused with various Cannabis-derived oils.
  • Orders supplies and keeps an accurate inventory of all raw materials.
  • Weighs cannabis oil for all production batches.
  • Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders.
  • Supervise food prep and cooking.
  • Train kitchen staff on prep work.
  • Store food products in compliance with safety practices.
  • Inspects kitchen equipment for cleanliness, hygiene, and monitors sanitation policies to abide by all state food safety and sanitation laws
  • Overseeing inventory, quality, and safety.
  • Maintains production logs, lab test results, and proper receiving/storage of products.
  • Works with other department lead to coordinate special needs.
  • Works with inventory manager to plan and forecast needs.
  • Responsible for maximizing the productivity of all kitchen staff.
  • Day-to-day management of production area and team including production scheduling, execution, staffing, and capacity planning
  • Work closely with the Director of Extraction to ensure workflow meets the necessary specifications.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Food handler certification, is strongly preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on efficiency, quality, and sanitation.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Conflict management skills.
  • Ability to manage a team.
  • Experience infusing and emulsifying foods and other products required, working with cannabis oil infusion preferred.
  • Familiarity with all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Food manufacturing or food chemistry experience or training.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to stand and/or remain in a stationary position for long hours.
  • This position requires those performing the duties of the job to regularly perform grasping carrying, sitting, and repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds; must be able to manage stairs and perform typical cleaning of facilities and equipment.
