JOB TITLE:

  • Licensing Associate

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Director of Licensing with the cannabis licensing processes in all markets and help ensure that all required licenses are obtained and maintained.
  • Collaborate with internal and external team members to ensure license applications and renewals are submitted on time.
  • Draft SOPs based on the unique operations of each license.
  • Maintain document management in connection with all licensing activities.
  • Stay on top of upcoming license renewals and/or application deficiencies and deadlines.
  • Review applications for completeness/accuracy.
  • Use technological tool kit to update/refine application materials.
  • Provide project management, logistical, and administrative support, as needed.
  • Update premises diagrams to reflect current business operations.
  • Read and understand legislation and regulations.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of previous cannabis licensing experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, research & organizational skills, and management of deadlines.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Adobe, Google Suite, and project management software.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized. Strong time management skills as there are various deadlines.
  • Technical writing experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and explain legal and regulatory documents and information
  • Bachelors in a related field such as planning/land use, public policy, or related functions. 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain state marijuana work credentials.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
  • Using hand dexterity.
