JOB TITLE:

  • Manufacturing Compliance Technician

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work under the direction of the Quality Manager to develop, implement, and continuously improve the quality and safety programs.
  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting unacceptable materials.
  • Approves in-process and finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to Management.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Assists with and coordinates daily prioritization of raw material, packaging, product, and other QC testing.
  • Ensures product is manufactured, stored, and distributed in accordance with the proper Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Performs weekly Safety Inspections.
  • Monitors training plan and matrix as required ensuring ongoing compliance and staff proficiency.
  • Assists with management of critical programs such as pest control program, calibration program, retained samples, etc.
  • Maintains and improves the level of quality by implementing inspection criteria consistent with all applicable standards and specifications.
  • Responsible for calibration of instruments and verification of scales and other equipment.
  • Assists in monthly GMP/compliance inspections and follows up on corrective actions.
  • Performs pre-operational and in-process checks including sanitation swabbing.
  • Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in the Quality Manual.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Quality-related experience in food, horticulture, pharmaceutical, or other related fields is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team.
  • Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Must be over 21 years or older.
  • Must be able to pass a Level II Background Check.
  • Work Authorization United States (Required).
