JOB TITLE:

  • Marketing Intern (Social Media)

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage content and engagement of the company’s social media accounts.
  • Generating and analyzing reports, taking notes during meetings, preparing statements, entering data, and assisting with campaigns.
  • Complete administrative work while observing different aspects of the marketing team.
  • Performing market analysis and research on the competition.
  • Generate content for email and social channels.
  • Assisting in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g., social media, email, direct mail, and web).
  • Weekly visits to the company’s cannabis manufacturing facility to capture content.
  • Schedule organic content for social media accounts.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Marketing, Creative, Graphic Design, Copywriting (visual arts) degree or program at Bachelors or Associate Degree level.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to perform marketing searches using online/digital search engines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to draft an email, or an article/essay, use spelling and grammar checking tools).
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (have used applications or taken course(s) to learn to create Excel spreadsheets and perform analysis and calculations, Office documents, PowerPoint presentations, Access Databases).
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (have created surveys and customer databases using CRM tools such as Qualtrics, Mailchimp, Online Analytics, and Google AdWords).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with a desire to learn.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Able to obtain and maintain state marijuana work credentials.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, lifting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. 
  • May include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over, and/or crouching. 
  • Ability to tolerate moderate to loud exposure to noise levels. 
  • Exposure to long periods of bright lights. 
  • Long periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phones.
