JOB TITLE:

  • Medical Receptionist

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer multiple phone lines, schedule appointments, and follow up with emails and messages.
  • Communicate and coordinate with team members working from various locations.
  • Facilitate telemedicine and in-person appointments.
  • Provide efficient flow of clients/patients to optimize efficiency.
  • Educate patients on medical marijuana.
  • Complete patient intake, registration, documentation, and chart management using Electronic Medical Software.
  • Handle cash and card payments.
  • Represent the clinic professionally in outreach marketing.
  • Provide a professional presentation in a medical environment.
  • Assist in the intake process of patients who wish to be certified for their medical cannabis card; this includes collecting proof of a Qualifying Medical Condition(s), confirming that patients have a current form of identification sufficient for what the state requires, and having patients fill out an intake form (either in-person or online).

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred).
  • 2 years of customer service in a medical setting.
  • Knowledge of marijuana use as medication and state legislation.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Ability to multi-task while paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to relay information to patients and enter detailed notes.
  • Ability to interact with the public to promote medical marijuana in the community.
