JOB TITLE:

  • Pricing Analyst (Cannabis Brands)

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with FP&A, Sales, and Marketing, as well as with partners and key stakeholders to evaluate, develop, and implement competitive pricing strategies.
  • Research and assess data from a variety of sources to gain insights into pricing tactics and market trends.
  • Facilitate governance by working with Legal, Finance, and various leaders to obtain approval on all RFPs, proposal documentation, etc. to be shared with prospective customers.
  • Track customer engagement to provide recommendations on effective pricing strategies for our products and offerings.
  • Maintain tools used to develop deal pricing such as the CRM price list and implementation cost / ROI / subscription price calculators.
  • Track key business metrics (i.e. sales, share, value perception, margin, customer attributes, etc.) to continually evaluate pricing effectiveness and refine pricing strategies as needed.
  • Assist with forecasting revenue and market share based on market trends, production costs, profit margins, and sales volumes.
  • Partner internally to audit pricing data and validate against established standards.
  • Perform benchmark research to review and maintain appropriate pricing.
  • Conduct margin and pricing analysis to support key business initiatives as required.
  • Maintain current knowledge of pricing analysis methods and industry trends.
  • Compile data for reports and presentations that include data analysis and input regarding recommendations.
  • Support related tasks that increase our competitiveness and profitability.
  • Build strong internal, external, and cross-functional relationships.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 3+ years of related experience, preferably in Pricing Analysis, Sales Operations, or other financial analysis.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel.
  • Ability to maintain an incredibly high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced deadline environment while successfully managing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work, influence, problem-solve, and engage with all levels of the organization.
