JOB TITLE:
- Procurement Manager
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, oversee, and control the purchasing of cannabis products for multiple suppliers.
- Develop and organize procurement rules and regulations with suppliers.
- Executes on purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
- Ensures that all purchasing guidelines are being met and followed.
- Updates the purchasing catalog with new vendors and items.
- Collaborates with Finance, Accounting, Field Ops, Buying, Legal, and Marketing Departments to achieve results, transparency, and accountability.
- Ensures that Teams are following policies and purchasing guidelines.
- Evaluate the quality, price, reliability, technical support, and availability of cannabis goods.
- Prepare and develop necessary SOPs for procurement practices.
- Assesses current material availability; reasonably forecast future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables.
- Prepares and processes purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Establishes key elements of tactical and operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the sub-function.
- Sources new products, processes, standards, or operational plans in support of the job function strategy.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1 – 2 years of broad-based working experience in a support operational, supply chain, or procurement function.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other Mathematics or Business related field.
- A fundamental understanding of cannabis and cannabis products.
- Proven work experience in a cross-functional organization is an asset.
- Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Proficient knowledge of warehouse inventory management through WMS/ERP software.
- Ability to create new, more efficient processes from scratch.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must pass any and all required background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, or bend for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (100 lbs with assistance).
