JOB TITLE:

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as an advocate for Leadership objectives.
  • Support and manage product aroma planning and assessment.
  • Lead costing audits of existing products.
  • Prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
  • Lead Commercial facing Aroma-focused meetings.
  • Provide leadership to junior members.
  • Help develop and create SOPs.
  • Develop market and product requirements (MRD/PRDs) to articulate product needs and priorities.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of trending strains and aroma types in the cannabis industry.
  • Conduct market and product analysis to ensure visibility into market trends and direction.
  • Assess competitive position by comparing the company’s products to competitors’ products.
  • Support and manage the creation of aroma catalogs and communications.
  • Partner with the Marketing department on product aroma-related communications and positioning.
  • Partner with Product Management and Manufacturing Support to align production requirements.
  • Evangelize our products and roadmap to customers, consumers, and internal stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of Aroma Science Experience within the CPG industry.
  • Wine Industry Experience is a plus.
  • Perishable Goods Experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with perfumery & fragrance materials including formulation of consumer products.
  • In-depth knowledge of aroma compounds.
  • Demonstrated experience managing product roadmaps and backlogs.
  • Proficiency with MS Office / GSuite, with advanced skills in Excel / Sheets.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
