JOB TITLE:

  • Receiving Clerk

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verifies and keeps records of incoming shipments by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
  • Unpacks examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
  • Follow all SOPs related to department and job duties and adhere to GMPs.
  • Assist in Inventory reconciliation including audits and cycle counting.
  • Reports defective materials, damaged goods received, and questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Supply production with materials needed via batch records and or direct communication with manufacturing.
  • Receive products via packing list into the ERP system (SAP) and verify the packing list matches the shipment received.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-year experience in a related field is required.
  • Previous GMP warehouse work environment experience preferred.
  • Experience in ERP software (SAP preferred).
  • Inventory management system experience preferred.
  • Good counting and verification skills are a must.
  • Attention to detail and time management skills are a must.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding of basic inventory principles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise).
