DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing customer accounts.
  • Assist in implementing a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with retailers and establishing their needs.
  • Present periodic sales reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Make sure product information in dispensaries’ Customer Relationship Management Software (CRM) is current, accurate, and up to date.
  • Serve customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
  • Achieve weekly and monthly sales goals.
  • Meets regularly with the Sales Manager to set goals and track customer sales.
  • Educate customers and their teams for the best possible end-consumer experience.
  • Assist with the distribution of customer orders.
  • Provide up-to-date product menus for customers to select from.
  • Communicate with Distribution regarding customer orders and expectations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all product SKUs, pricing, and availability.
  • Stay current on market trends and changes in supply/demand.
  • Promote social media presence and brand.
  • Plans own schedule, prioritize time spent with accounts, administration, and other duties.
  • Monitor sales and marketing program execution while ensuring all KPIs are achieved.
  • Assists with developing sales strategies and establishing new leads through prospecting and networking with the client base.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 21 years of age (or per state regulations).
  • Must pass all required background checks.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Expert knowledge of cannabis products and consumer behavior.
  • Previous experience as a sales representative with respect to the cannabis industry. 
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Well-versed in Salesforce CRM functionality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business sense and cannabis industry expertise.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good persuasion & negotiation skills.
