JOB TITLE:
- Shuttle Bus Driver
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure shuttle vehicles are ready for service and are up to date with state law requirements.
- Follow designated shuttle routes and shuttle times.
- Ensure the safe transport of employees and patients.
- Provide information on dispensary deals and events to inbound/outbound patients.
- Work closely with the transfer department to ensure the sister groups operate smoothly with each other.
- Ensure the shuttle vehicle is secure and ready for the next operator or operation before leaving service.
- Ensuring adherence to passenger limits, both seated and standing.
- Avoid high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible.
- Checking that passengers disembark at the correct destinations, and in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that the shuttle bus is fueled, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
- Observing all relevant traffic and safety laws.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified to transport individuals via shuttle bus.
- Previous experience driving groups of people.
- Working knowledge of pertinent car maintenance and restoration techniques.
- Outstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes.
- First Aid training is preferred.
- Excellent route planning abilities.
- Open availability and the possibility of schedule changes to fit company needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to talk or hear.
- Must be able to use hands or fingers, and handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
