JOB TITLE:

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure shuttle vehicles are ready for service and are up to date with state law requirements.
  • Follow designated shuttle routes and shuttle times.
  • Ensure the safe transport of employees and patients.
  • Provide information on dispensary deals and events to inbound/outbound patients.
  • Work closely with the transfer department to ensure the sister groups operate smoothly with each other.
  • Ensure the shuttle vehicle is secure and ready for the next operator or operation before leaving service.
  • Ensuring adherence to passenger limits, both seated and standing.
  • Avoid high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible.
  • Checking that passengers disembark at the correct destinations, and in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that the shuttle bus is fueled, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
  • Observing all relevant traffic and safety laws.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified to transport individuals via shuttle bus.
  • Previous experience driving groups of people.
  • Working knowledge of pertinent car maintenance and restoration techniques.
  • Outstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes.
  • First Aid training is preferred.
  • Excellent route planning abilities.
  • Open availability and the possibility of schedule changes to fit company needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to talk or hear.
  • Must be able to use hands or fingers, and handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
