JOB TITLE:

  • Sourcing Manager (Packaging)

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive enterprise-wide supply chain efficiencies through supplier optimization and sourcing strategies, with a focus on the packaging category.
  • Serve as the Supply Chain representative to the cross-functional stakeholder group involved in packaging including but not limited to Brand Marketing, Automation, Compliance, and Sales and Operating Planning.
  • Ensure sourcing opportunities for packaging are prioritized via a strategic sourcing process that unites all key stakeholders.
  • Continually monitor, analyze, and assess pricing and delivery trends within markets and industries for their impact on the company’s spend and sourcing strategies while providing clear and concise communication of the impacts to supply chain leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Stay current on the latest developments in strategic sourcing, procurement, and contracting to help refine processes and methodologies which drive efficiency and maximum commercial benefit for the enterprise.
  • Keeps current with industry trends and identifies ways to implement progressive technology as appropriate.
  • Lead and/or participate in initiatives to drive continuous improvements in cost management, business process improvement, and cost reduction/productivity initiatives.
  • Identify both near and long-term opportunities which drive both qualitative and quantitative value for the company by conducting comprehensive spending and operational analysis.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business is preferred, other related degrees will be considered with adequate relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience sourcing/procuring packaging to include strategic sourcing of components, finished goods, and services on a global basis.
  • Prior experience managing projects to a timeline, ensuring quality deliverables, and effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Superior negotiation skills.
  • Prior experience working within fast-paced, evolving corporate environments with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated capability to successfully manage and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities to include capturing and synthesizing data to identify opportunities/issues and then develop recommendations/solutions/strategies.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
