DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy.
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/newspapers/colleges etc.
- Screen candidates’ resumes and job applications.
- Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within the schedule.
- Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
- Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated.
- Assist in creating new job descriptions and maintain all job descriptions for current and future roles in the organization.
- Identify areas of improvement for a world-class candidate experience and drive projects to find and implement new solutions and cross-collaborate with other teams to build innovative candidate-experience programs.
- Provide administrative support, conduct research as requested to support other projects and program initiatives to develop world-class processes and tools for the recruiting function.
- Partner with others in the organization to complete thorough background screenings based on the requirements of each role; keep records up to date; implement an effective system for tracking background checks (criminal, education, professional references, etc).
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of talent acquisition experience.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance, federal and state employment laws with a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.
- Knowledge, experience, and understanding of compliance in the cannabis industry are preferred.
- Must be well organized with effective time management skills.
- Strong organizational, mathematical, analytical, and critical thinking skills to complete work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, including written, spoken, and presentation.
- Proficiency in computer software using MS Office applications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching is possible.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds for a distance of 50 feet.
