DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/newspapers/colleges etc.
  • Screen candidates’ resumes and job applications.
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within the schedule.
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
  • Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated.
  • Assist in creating new job descriptions and maintain all job descriptions for current and future roles in the organization.
  • Identify areas of improvement for a world-class candidate experience and drive projects to find and implement new solutions and cross-collaborate with other teams to build innovative candidate-experience programs.
  • Provide administrative support, conduct research as requested to support other projects and program initiatives to develop world-class processes and tools for the recruiting function.
  • Partner with others in the organization to complete thorough background screenings based on the requirements of each role; keep records up to date; implement an effective system for tracking background checks (criminal, education, professional references, etc).

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of talent acquisition experience.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance, federal and state employment laws with a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.
  • Knowledge, experience, and understanding of compliance in the cannabis industry are preferred.
  • Must be well organized with effective time management skills.
  • Strong organizational, mathematical, analytical, and critical thinking skills to complete work with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, spoken, and presentation.
  • Proficiency in computer software using MS Office applications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching is possible.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds for a distance of 50 feet.
