DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing, executing, and achieving weekly, monthly, and quarterly wholesale goals.
- Develop and articulate a strategic and comprehensive business plan for the assigned territory and manage all sales activities for this territory.
- Manage a high-performing sales team; support and cultivate the development and growth of the team in a fast-paced, quickly evolving environment.
- Set sales KPIs and Metrics/Quotas and train/coach team members on that strategy.
- Partnering with local business leaders and marketing teams to fulfill goals and ensuring all financial and compensation plans/targets are being met.
- Facilitating and managing processes for all B2B sales-related tasks.
- Submitting sales orders accurately and on time for approval and to the production facility for fulfillment.
- Collaborate with Marketing to drive wholesale customer awareness and execution of tactical marketing strategies to fill the funnel with new prospective customers.
- Collaborate with the COO and CFO to forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and budgets.
- Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders on wholesale pricing; providing input based on strong local market knowledge and other data sources, as available.
- Present weekly updates, sales reviews, senior staff briefings, and regular executive growth opportunity review sessions.
- Travel within the defined market territory and other locations as required.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field preferred.
- At least 5 years of sales experience + 3 years of experience at a management level.
- Experience in the cannabis industry is preferred.
- History of setting and driving strategic sales initiatives.
- CPG sales experience preferred.
- Strong understanding current cannabis market.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills- able to create and discuss reports.
- Well organized; ability to prioritize, plan proactively and execute properly while managing conflicting priorities and multi-task effectively.
- Excellent communication skills – written, spoken, presentation, and listening with the ability to explain and interpret complex issues clearly, mindful of the audience.
- Negotiation and mediation skills.
- Passion for delivering value to the customer.
- must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver’s license or state ID.
- Must pass all background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This job operates in both an office and field setting, requiring mobility between locations and the routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment.
- The ability to lift or move up to 5 pounds, bend, reach, and perform manual tasks may also be required.
