Job Description:

  • We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Sales Account Manager that is qualified, organized, energetic, and knowledgeable enough to bring our sales team to the next level.
  • The ideal Sales Account Manager will be comfortable in a dynamic startup environment, passionate about sales, marketing, and branding, as well as have an interest and experience in the health and wellness industry, and more specifically the cannabis industry.
  • They will bring an energetic, fun, and creative approach to their work sharing innovative ideas to elevate our brand.
  • The Sales Account Manager position is responsible for actively calling on current and new clients and will have their own exclusive territory.
  • The position involves visiting CA state-licensed retailers and introducing them to our products and the benefits we can offer the retailer and their customers.
  • The Sales Account Manager should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant sales experience in the cannabis industry and have a thorough understanding of the cannabis retail space and community.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Set up meetings with retailer purchasing managers via cold-calling, email, and social media outreach.
  • Visit retailers to understand customer needs and desires, and make sales presentations.
  • Follow-up with prospective accounts via phone, e-mail, and SMS to stay top of mind and close new business.
  • Facilitate on-site patient appreciation days, budtender education events, and other events on a regular basis.
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop new sales material and refine company messaging.
  • Relay feedback from customers.
  • Spend a majority of time in the field visiting retailers.
  • Maintain customer relationship database and ensure that all information is up-to-date and accurate.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MUST have existing dispensary accounts.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant field sales experience in the cannabis industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Personal list of cannabis industry contacts is a plus.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing a sales plan, building a new business, and meeting/exceeding sales quotas preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient technical skills including use of MS Office, Google Drive, and CRM software.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • This position requires someone to be a people person with a positive attitude and great sales skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to think on your feet are preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize.
  • Ability to listen, ask questions, and understand customer needs.
  • Must be able to communicate remotely using phone and email.

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:

  • Base salary offered along with generous commission structure for closing new clients.
  • Monthly travel stipend of $1000.
