Job Position Title:

• Cultivator for Cannabis Grower in Salinas California

Job Description:

• Provides manual labor to support the activities and operations of the Cultivation Department, while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Assist with coordination of all grow operations including daily activities, quality assurance, potting, manicuring, and harvesting as well as assuring compliance with local, state, and federal licensing requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS:

• Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties.
• Ensure the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures.
• Carefully follow directions as provided by the lead grower.
• Responsible for completing any work assigned to them during their scheduled shift, as well as information sharing.
• Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers.
• Report employee issues or product situations.
• Responsible for following all verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties.
• Manage plants from the vegetative stage until harvest.
• Accurate tracking and recording of the data during each phase of the cultivation process.
• Oversee all the tasks in the grow including cloning, transplanting, feeding plants, defoliation, topping, flushing, and foliar.
• Work closely with leads daily.
• Manage plant scheduling and organization.
• Execute preventative maintenance and elimination of all types of mold, powdery mildew, spider mites, root aphids, fungus, and gnats, etc.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of plant diseases, insects, and fungi, as well as legal plant treatment options.
• This must include a keen eye for spotting issues before they become a problem.
• Willingness to continue to learn best practices of medical marijuana cultivation with a strong interest in horticulture, agriculture, and greenhouse operating systems.
• Comply with all Human Resources (HR) policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Previous grow, laborer, cannabis experience preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience.
• Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
• Knowledge of growing technologies, such as lights, irrigation, fertilizer, and more.
• Knowledge of different strains and their unique growing demands.

• Standing and walking occasional to frequent.

• Lifting and carrying no more than 50lbs.
• Pushing and pulling.
• Reaching and stretching.
• Handling.
• Bending and stooping.

Pay: $20 per hour based on qualifications.

Pay: From $20.00 per Hour
