JOB TITLE:

  • Material Handler

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing the packaging department with all materials needed at the point of use based on work orders/bills of materials provided.
  • Accurately recording weights of all products going to the Packaging department.
  • Following state guidelines to keep inventory at an accurate percentage and loss of material at a minimum based on State Regulations.
  • Assist Inventory Control Lead with all aspects related to organizing data, reporting systems, and metrics to ensure strong output of retail and inventory workloads.
  • Responsible for tracking quarterly sales, as well as working closely with vendors to ensure all required processes are met.
  • Assist in the receiving of goods, stocking shelves, and keeping inventory of all packaging.
  • Prepare products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them.
  • Perform product compliance inspections, and/or item count verification.
  • Identify and label materials, and record their locations within the warehouse to maintain inventory.
  • Other duties to support the overall operation as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or product distribution setting.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications including Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to think critically, efficiently, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift products weighing between 5-50 lbs continuously.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
