Job Description:

Opportunity:

• An opportunity exists for an experienced manager to oversee all aspects of cultivation on a two-acre farm in the heart of Southern Humboldt County.
• The farm has been in operation for two years and is fully licensed with 60,000 ft2 of permitted canopy.

Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures for “best practice” in all aspects of cannabis cultivation from receiving clones to the end of the curing process.
• Provide leadership to and manage a cultivation team of 8-12 people in order to achieve production targets for yield and quality, on time and in full.
• Provide weekly updates to senior management on production status.
• Oversight of farm maintenance and equipment while maximizing production.
• Maintain the facility and equipment to meet all CDFA, CalCannabis, and OSHA safety standards.

Experience Required:

• Experience in successfully managing a 2+ acre farm or facility and/or as a lead grower, preferably in cannabis but not essential.
  3-5 years of leadership experience.
• Ability to strategically plan and coordinate production efforts to meet targets and enforce lean cultivation principles.
• Demonstrable and effective project, time, and team management skills.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Fluent in Spanish is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to operate a mini-excavator and skid steer.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Pay: $90,000 to $120,000 per year based on qualifications.
