• General Laborer at Cannabis Grower in Portland Oregon

Job Description:

• We are looking for people who are passionate about both the success and quality of product to join our plant care team. Being detail-oriented, a team player, and good at communicating is the name of the game for this vital role. Must have a desire and drive to take pride in your daily duties in this multi-tasking, physical position.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Complete regular plant maintenance as needed including but not limited to transplanting, topping, staking branches, and under-trimming.
• Complete tasks as needed including but not limited to harvesting crops, cleaning rooms after a harvest, installing net mesh supports, breaking down and preparing soil for planting, and keeping work area clean and organized.
• Communicate with other team members and management continuously regarding any issues that may arise (pest outbreaks, irrigation issues, lights, etc.).
• Support other team members throughout the grow as needed.
• Timely completion of work per schedule.
• Perform all other duties as necessary and any additional duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team and on your own.
• Be a reliable team player.
• Positive attitude day in and day out.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Experience in an agricultural setting is a plus, but not required.
• Marijuana product knowledge and passion is a plus, but not required.
• Adherence to safety practices, policies, and procedures is a must.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid OLCC Marijuana Workers Permit.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work on your feet for 8-10 hours a day besides breaks and lunch.
• Work in the dark with only green head lamps for long periods of time.
• Work in crouched or uncomfortable positions including repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly move up to 30 lbs.
• Work time expectation: 95-100% of the time will be physical labor.

WORKING HOURS:

• Shifts are 8 hours.
• Daytime hours.
• Must have open availability including weekends.

Pay: $15 to $17 per hour based on qualifications.

Pay: From $17.00 per Hour
