Full Job Description

Bird Valley Organics is a licensed distributor searching for a dependable and trustworthy delivery driver/warehouse associate who can fulfill and deliver shipments to customers throughout Southern California.

Brand Partners: Bird Valley Organics, Coastal Sun, Santa Cruz Canna Farms, Cali Stripe, WAMM Phytotherapies

This is a part-full time hybrid role with the opportunity to develop into a permanent position after 90 days. Looking for a flexible employee who wants to grow in a fast-paced, scaling startup environment.

Location: Long Beach, CA

Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid California driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Ability to safely execute 8-12 hour delivery routes
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
• Some routes may require overnight lodging
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail, flexibility, and positive attitude
• Strong communication skills – ability to respond/maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher in a safe and legal manner in-transit

Responsibilities:
• Load, transport, and deliver items to retailers in a safe, timely manner
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and the charges are correct
• Execute product transfers between facilities
• Accept and counting payments on site for delivered items
• Adhere to assigned routes, SOPs, and following time schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
• Receive incoming shipments after confirming inventory counts and weights
• Maintain accurate storage inputs and outputs logs
• Print and assemble final delivery transaction paperwork
• Order fulfillment – accurately pick and pack orders to prepare shipments
• File and organize final transaction documents
• Various administrative data entry tasks
• Maintain distribution warehouse and organization of storage space
• Fleet maintenance: refueling, sanitizing, and scheduling routine maintenance appointments
• Other warehouse tasks may include (but not limited to): packaging/labeling projects, quality control, etc
