  • Human Resources Director for Cannabis Cultivation & Manufacturing Facility in Camp Verde Arizona

Job Description:

  • Camp Verde’s cannabis cultivation and manufacturing facility is currently seeking a Human Resources Director to support our CEO in the creation, build, and successful execution of Human Resource initiatives.
  • This means your responsibilities are full-cycle involving crafting and executing job design, policies, talent acquisition, state compliance laws, performance management, training and development, compensation, wellness, safety, and employee relations.
  • This is a tremendous opportunity to essentially build a functioning HR department from the ground up.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create and implement HR policies and programs in compliance with related laws, regulations, and best practices including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), etc.
  • Create, implement and manage new hire processes including recruitment, interviews, and onboarding new employees.
  • Assist with performance reviews and termination processes.
  • Train managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline system of the company.
  • Establish the company wage and salary structure, pay policies, and oversee the variable pay systems within the company.
  • Develop and manage effective processes for compensation, benefits, and wellness programs.
  • Create and foster a winning culture that supports the company’s goals and promotes employee satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in Human Resources.
  • Previous experience in the cannabis industry.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).
  • Knowledge of Arizona labor and employment laws.
  • Salary structure experience.
  • Experience in talent and performance management, compensation, organizational planning, and employee relations.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and personal accountability.
  • Exceptional time management, proactive, and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing high-stress situations.
  • Excellent writing, computer, and communication skills.
  • Strong proven leadership skills.
  • Ability to critically think and problem solve without direction.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent people and organizational skills.
