- Grow Manager for Cannabis Company in Oklahoma City Oklahoma
Job Description:
- The Grow Manager manages and leads a staff of growers, assistant growers, cultivation technicians, and others engaged in the growing, care and maintenance of Freedom Road’s horticultural products that are produced for wholesale or retail sales.
- In this role, the Grow Manager drives excellence in system design, plant nutrition, crop and pest management, software, environmental sensors, and controls along with employee training and development while adhering to company standards.
Education/Experience:
- Experience working in cannabis cultivation is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s in related field required.
Essential Functions:
- Discusses plant growing activities with management personnel to plan for growing activities that are consistent with planned production schedules.
- Monitors growing conditions and oversees changes in humidity, moisture, temperature, and cultivation procedures to ensure conformance with quality control standards.
- Monitors plant development to ascertain conditions such as leaf texture, bloom size, and the existence of pests or disease; removing substandard or diseased plants to maintain quality standards.
- Determines rates of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and fungicides as required by the crops and applies and/or directs the application of them.
- Develops growing procedures for new species in product line and new cultivation techniques.
- Maintains inventory of needed growing supplies such as fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides and replenishes as necessary.
- Maintains records of growing techniques and production; reviews records and reports to identify trends and to forecast future space and production needs.
- Schedules staff and assigns work; maintains personnel records and provides input into performance evaluations.
- Trains employees in growing techniques and activities.
- Maintains a current knowledge of growing techniques and technologies.
- Maintains an awareness of the new state-of-the-art equipment and provides input into equipment and facilities upgrades and replacement.
- Provides pesticide and safety training to all employees and maintenance of records as required by Federal or State regulations.
- Assists the General Manager with other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
- This is an active position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day.
- The position requires talking and hearing as well as visual acuity.
- Employees must frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Expected Hours of Work:
- Days and hours of work may vary by scheduling or seasonal needs.
- Evening and weekend work is required.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 21 or older.
- Must be occupationally licensed in the State of Oklahoma to work in the MMJ industry.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Pay: $20 per hour based on qualifications.
