JOB POSITION TITLE:

• Irrigation Manager at Cannabis Cultivation Company in Cincinnati Ohio

JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Oversee and manage the irrigation system within our facility.
• Work with leadership and advise in determining correct mixing ratios and products to use.
• Maintain productivity records and advise on how to interact with new genetics.
• Monitor and test new installations, troubleshoot and repair problems, observe pipe and valve placements, and evaluate start-ups, winterization, and overall operation of the irrigation system.
• Conduct and record detailed inspections and plan or execute upgrades of our systems.
• Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulatory statutes.
• Maintain maintenance records as required by City, State, and EPA regulations.
• Assist with manufacturing fertilizer concentrates by mixing raw salts into storage tanks.
• Order and maintain parts needed to repair and maintain systems, pumps, irrigation lines, and solenoids.
• Manage the relationship with all major vendor accounts.
• Monitoring the quality of water entering and leaving the irrigation system to ensure that it meets the PH and EC from feeding schedule given by the Director of Grow Operations.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of irrigation systems to determine if they need repair or replacement.
• Analyzing soil conditions and making recommendations for improving the crop’s yield potential.
• Monitoring water levels in reservoirs and other sources of water to ensure adequate supply during periods of high demand
• Supervising the construction of new irrigation systems or repairing existing ones
• Capturing and recording runoff from every feed administered to each room.
• Adjusting PPFD levels according to the schedule given by the Director of Grow Operations.
• Coordinate room flips and the flushing of lines and e misters.
• All other duties as required.

WORK EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

• Supervisory skills.
• 6-10 years of productive experience in the installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems.
• Good knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers, and pipe sizing is essential.
• Strong understanding of digital irrigation control systems in a large-scale commercial agricultural environment.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of Advanced heat load/loss calculations.
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for his or her actions.
• Detail Oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
• Diversity-Oriented – Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type.
• Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to wire digital control system, solenoids, and install PVC plumbing.
• Ability to organize work and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and REQUIREMENTS:

• Always requires near visual acuity, speaking, and listening.
• Frequently requires sitting, standing, walking, grasping, and reaching.
• May occasionally require lifting up to 25 lbs. pulling and/or pushing and carrying.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers as required to perform job functions.
• Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).

Estimated Salary: $20 per hour based on qualifications.
