Job Position Title:

Lab Analyst for Cannabis, Hemp, CBD Testing Laboratory Company in Fort Lauderdale Florida

Job Description:

The Lab Analyst prepares and analyzes cannabis, hemp, CBD, and other samples using both standard and complex testing according to scientific and standard methodology in compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance programs. You will be following set SOP’s, validate and review data for accuracy through Level I reviews. Must be knowledgeable of a broad range of laboratory testing equipment requiring the exercise of discretion and judgment in its operation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Batching and prepping samples for analysis taking into account special and varied client and QA requirements
• Making reagents for sample analysis
• Preparing appropriate standards to ensure compliant data
• Operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation
• Uploads laboratory data into LIMS system, including QC charts and data packages
• Assists in training new analysts on laboratory procedure
• Performs Level I and II review of data produced to ensure accuracy
• Aids management in special sample preparation requests
• Logs nonconformances and/or deviations for projects related to QA issues
• Monitors refrigerator temperatures
• Maintains logbooks
• Responsible for performing job functions within Green Scientific’s EHS and QA standards
• Maintains housekeeping standards for work area
• Inventories and stocks laboratory supplies
• Requests supply orders
• Washes and inventories glassware
• Disposes of analyzed samples
• Assists in other areas of laboratory when needed

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years plus experience in operation, maintenance, and calibration of GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, HS-GC-MS, and/or GC-FID systems
• Previous manufacturing or production-oriented work is a plus
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Must pass an extensive level 2 background check

Pay: From $Targeting 60-75K base (up to 75K max) + Benefits + 401K per
