Job Position Title:
- Extraction Technician at Hemp CBD Products Company in Millville New Jersey
Job Description:
- Extraction Technician will be responsible for the safety and effectively converting the hemp materials into high-quality, food-safe hemp oils and liquids for ingestion, inhalation, or topical application.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Performing his/her duties in a safe manner and environment while adhering to all governmental regulations for this industry.
- Carrying out all extraction, extract processing, product formulation, filling, and manufacturing procedures in an efficient manner that also compliers with FDA GMPs, OSHA regulations, SOPs, and all applicable laboratory procedures.
- Packaging of the broad hemp product line as needed.
- Ensuring compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures.
- Following appropriate control measures to prevent mixing of dissimilar production components while following Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Performing in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and conducting visual inspections to ensure all product meets or exceed specifications and customer expectations.
Such quality assurance work shall include but not be limited to:
- Recording and monitoring process conditions to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
- Proper weighing, data recording, and batch tracking throughout the process.
- Running tests on HPLC and other required analytical equipment.
- Work with 3rd party laboratories on sampling and lot control for their sample gathering and reporting.
- Continually strive to improve processes for improved safety, quality, and efficient manufacturing.
- Support new product and process development.
- Monitoring and managing lab and processing equipment supplies and inventory.

- Willingness to learn and improve each operation.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time (trimming plants, weighing products, and regular inventory).
Work Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of applicable hemp or related extraction, formulating, and packaging experience with a focus on ensuring product safety, consumer safety and satisfaction, and high product quality.
- Experience with closed-loop BHO (butane, propane, mix gas) systems and ethanol extraction preferred
- Education: High School Diploma or GED minimum
- Degree in Botany, Biology, Agriculture, Horticulture, or relevant field is a plus.
Physical Demands and Requirements:
- Include standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds by themselves and 75+ pounds with a buddy, carrying product totes pushing carts, moving, and making adjustments to process equipment.
Pay: $41,000 per year based on qualifications.
