JOB TITLE:

  • Associate Regulatory Analyst (ARA)

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and analyze complex regulatory requirements imposed by state and local marijuana regulations.
  • Draft summaries of regulations, questions for facility audits, action items to teach businesses to resolve non-compliance, and other work products associated with legal requirements for cannabis businesses.
  • Monitor city and county ordinances for changes in cannabis rules that impact our content.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field.
  • Experience in cannabis regulations and/or any of the following types of companies or industries would be helpful: software, startup, cannabis, regulatory, compliance, audit, law, and consulting.
  • Work efficiently and cooperatively in an environment of multiple projects and priorities.
  • Work well both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong reading comprehension.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • High attention to detail. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear via electronic devices (ie. computer, monitor, microphone, video, etc.) 
  • The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include reading and viewing information on a computer monitor.
