JOB TITLE:

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create scalable recipes for all new dishes.
  • Ensure that the kitchen is always clean and meets all local health code requirements.
  • Developing creative customized baked goods that meet company expectations.
  • Design, test, and develop infused recipes that meet all requirements at the federal, state, and local level.
  • Manufacture and scale production to meet market demand.
  • Ensure all processes are compliant with regulatory guidelines.
  • Train kitchen staff on product creation, sanitation, and all required processes that need to be delegated.
  • Store food products in compliance with safety practices.
  • Keep weekly and monthly cost reports.
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area.
  • Must always monitor inventory and report items that need to be reordered.
  • Responsible for receiving incoming food orders and rotating stock.
  • Schedule kitchen staff shifts if needed.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Food Science strongly preferred).
  • Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience creating candies, chocolates, cookies, brownies, etc.
  • 3+ years of management experience within a commercial kitchen or food production environment.
  • Experience infusing foods and other products with cannabis oil infusion are required.
  • Experience with the emulsification of food products.
  • A strong understanding of food science, chemistry, and product design.
  • Hands-on experience with product planning and ordering ingredients.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of recipes.
  • Excellent skills in basic mathematics.
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation.
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
