JOB TITLE:

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for performing chromatographic techniques such as HPLC or GCMS.
- Test samples for identification, purity, and contaminants.
- Use laboratory instruments as instructed and follow company SOPs
- Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation, perform routine maintenance and work directly with vendors to solve issues.
- Accurately document results in logbooks, bench sheets, etc.
- Generate quality system-compliant data
- Able to draw and defend conclusions based on analytical data.
- Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of the production area.
- Maintain quality control measures to ensure high-quality products while carrying out day-to-day tasks.
- Assist with the development and validation of new testing methodologies.
- Carry out method development and execute method validation of terpene analysis in accordance with ISO 17025 requirements.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry or a related field is required.
- 1-2 years HPLC experience, is required.
- Experience performing validation and verification studies.
- Experience in Good Manufacturing Practices or Good Laboratory Practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet the demands of multiple departments with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous ISO 17025 experience in a cannabis testing laboratory is preferred.
- Experience operating a full spectrum of analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, ICP-MS, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, and GC-MS is preferred.
- Maintain high productivity, keen attention to detail, and consistent multi-tasking while yielding a low testing error rate.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must pass any and all required background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend at the waist, and squat.
- Ability to work with hands, see and hear.
