JOB TITLE:

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for performing chromatographic techniques such as HPLC or GCMS.
  • Test samples for identification, purity, and contaminants.
  • Use laboratory instruments as instructed and follow company SOPs
  • Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation, perform routine maintenance and work directly with vendors to solve issues.
  • Accurately document results in logbooks, bench sheets, etc.
  • Generate quality system-compliant data
  • Able to draw and defend conclusions based on analytical data.
  • Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of the production area.
  • Maintain quality control measures to ensure high-quality products while carrying out day-to-day tasks.
  • Assist with the development and validation of new testing methodologies.
  • Carry out method development and execute method validation of terpene analysis in accordance with ISO 17025 requirements.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry or a related field is required.
  • 1-2 years HPLC experience, is required.
  • Experience performing validation and verification studies.
  • Experience in Good Manufacturing Practices or Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet the demands of multiple departments with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous ISO 17025 experience in a cannabis testing laboratory is preferred.
  • Experience operating a full spectrum of analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, ICP-MS, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, and GC-MS is preferred.
  • Maintain high productivity, keen attention to detail, and consistent multi-tasking while yielding a low testing error rate.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend at the waist, and squat.
  • Ability to work with hands, see and hear.
