JOB TITLE:

  • Commercial Electrician

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and service medium and high voltage electrical systems and associated equipment.
  • Operate, inspect, and perform preventive maintenance on medium and high voltage overhead and underground distribution systems
  • Prepare estimates, and plan and manage own projects within allotted budgets
  • Responsible for assisting the Manager- Maintenance with all electrical aspects of facility maintenance and for helping to augment the smooth function and operations of the cultivation facilities, including other functions as assigned by managers.
  • Perform related work as required.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a certificate of completion from a recognized accredited trade school or the equivalent amount of experience and training comparable to journey-level crafts status as a High Voltage Electrician.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Electrician.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
  • Understand laws, codes, and regulations pertaining to high voltage electrical work, including NEC, IEEE, GO 95, and 128.
  • Experience in job planning and basic estimating.
  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of computer automation control systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
