JOB TITLE:

  • Dispensary Supervisor

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the dispensary.
  • Provides support to retail staff during the hours of operation which includes, without limitation: training, providing policy and procedure updates, keeping current with industry news/bulletins and product information, promoting a culture of exceptional customer service, and oversight of any weekend product deliveries.
  • Exercise limited authority and discretion when addressing items that concern the retail location when necessary, and in the absence of the Store Manager including but not limited to: Enforcing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance the company’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
  • Report employee issues or situations, as well as handle emergencies.
  • Serves as a resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulation.
  • Coordinates with other dispensary supervisors to ensure accurate information is communicated through the proper channels to both dispensary staff and upper management.
  • Responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships, including handling issues, concerns, and complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Cannabis experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong retail math skills are required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic.
  • Understanding of applicable state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating procedures.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry.
  • Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Must be focused, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, sitting, bending, twisting and repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 40 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
  • Must be able to tolerate dusty, strong-smelling marijuana odors, and be able to tolerate exposure to the product.
