JOB TITLE:
- Fertigation Technician
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements all irrigation and fertigation activities across the various cultivation rooms.
- Checks and balances EC & pH stock stocks according to company standard operating procedures.
- Work closely with the growing team to ensure the irrigation plan is appropriately implemented and maintained.
- Ensure fertilizer concentrate tanks are filled adequately.
- Maintains and ensures irrigation and fertigation equipment is in good working order.
- Cleans and sanitizes nutrient tanks, pumps, and filters as needed.
- Coordinates efforts to assure the fertigation system equipment is maintained and running properly.
- Perform regular testing of water quality, media analysis, and plant tissue analysis as well as record and document the results.
- Ensure the plants are in optimal health and report any problems seen.
- Keeps detailed records of all irrigation and fertigation activities.
- Take measurements, record data, and observations for all grow rooms.
- Write and execute Standard Operating Procedures related to fertigation.
- Monitor soil moisture content of the crop, and obtain water samples for testing.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years experience in the cannabis or a similar role in distribution, food, or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of plant cultivation and cultivation facility operations, including topping procedures, weeding out bad clones, and keeping a uniform canopy.
- Experience using a fertigation system is a plus.
- Computer literacy in word processing, database management, and Windows-based software.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Effective time management and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Minimum age of 21 years or older and pass a criminal background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without assistance.
- Ability to climb, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, stand, bend, and reach for the duration of shift.
- Requires manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
- Requires normal hearing range.
