JOB TITLE:

  • Flower Technician

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversight of cannabis plants during the flower growth phase.
  • Assists cultivation with maintaining and weekly cleaning of all tanks and facility plumbing.
  • Receive raw batched items and ensure appropriate storage.
  • Ensure that all raw batch items received are of good quality and appropriate quantity.
  • Regular recording and PH level checks in nutrient mix and water run-off.
  • Defoliation events and record-keeping of waste logs.
  • Integrated Pest Management and plant disease control.
  • Assists Veg Technician and Cultivation Manager in flower rollouts.
  • Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation, or other quality and compliance requirements.
  • Perform record-keeping accurately and completely as directed by a lead or supervisor.
  • Report safety incidents/ concerns and comply with follow-up actions.
  • Be compliant with area safety requirements, state regulations, and PPE requirements.
  • Recognize different strains, requirements associated with the strain, growth patterns and identify anomalies within the plants.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of cannabis cultivation methods, terminology, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of IPM, disease control procedures, and nutrient mixes.
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based and other software and internet navigation.
  • Fun attitude, strong work ethic, strong attention to detail, and must have a team player mentality.
  • Must pass all required background checks and approval by state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry.
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. 
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus. 
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with the product.
